Solid roof conservatory: benefits

Solid, pitched conservatory roofs are far more thermally efficient than glass or polycarbonate versions. Having a pitched tiled roof also means your conservatory will be far more comfortable to sit in all year round. It will be warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

Not only that, but you won’t have to spend a considerable amount of time clearing leaves and other debris from the top of a glazed conservatory roof during the winter and spring months. And, because your new tiled roof is pitched, debris won’t collect on it in the first place.

Another bonus of a hard, tiled roof is that it will prevent the glare from the sun from fading textiles and furniture in your conservatory.

Here at P&K Home Improvements, we sell and build Guardian Roofs. These are tiled, pitched and prefabricated. This makes them quicker to put together and means we can still build your roof even if it rains solidly for a whole week. Installation takes up to three days.

Solid roof conservatory: costs

It’s difficult to quote an average cost for a solid conservatory roof. That’s because it depends on the size of the roof, design and even where you are located in the UK.
