We wanted to use a local, family-run business to replace our old softwood doors and windows and found this company through our research. As we live in a conservation area, we knew that planning permission would be needed. Peter was kind enough to liaise with our architect, providing specification information etc. in a timely manner, which made the planning process much more straightforward. Once we had the planning permission, we arranged for Karl to come along and do a survey so that Peter could provide a quote for us. As a result of living in a conservation area we needed Residence R9 replacement units, which our architect advised us were much more expensive than standard replacement windows and doors. Imagine our surprise when we received the quote from P & K Home Improvements and it was less than we were expecting - almost unheard of in this day and age!. Despite this, the quality of the products and the service provided by P & K was absolutely exceptional. We were regularly updated on the progress of our order with the manufacturer and an installation date was confirmed quickly once the units were available. The installation was incredibly smooth and the fitters arrived when they said they would and were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. They tidied everything away at the end of each day, leaving our house spotless. We would not hesitate to recommend this company - in fact we have already done so!! Thank you P & K for a great job!
